Frequently asked questions
What is the Reggio Emilia Approach®?
The Reggio Emilia Approach® is an educational philosophy based on the image of a child with strong potentialities for development and a subject with rights, who learns through the hundred languages belonging to all human beings, and grows in relations with others.
Are materials included in the tuition?
An art + design kit will be sent to you upon receipt of payment for the class. An upcycled materials list will be included in your welcome packet.
What is process focused art/design?
Process-Focused Art is when a child is given an open-ended project and they have the opportunity to express themselves through their work. The outcome is student-centered. The way the process-focused artwork turns out is based on your child’s discovery and creativity. The art is focused on the experience and on exploration of techniques, tools, and materials. The art is unique and original.

What is cradle-to-cradle?
Cradle-to-cradle design (also referred to as 2CC2, C2C, cradle 2 cradle, or regenerative design) is a biomimetic approach to the design of products and systems that models human industry on nature's processes, where materials are viewed as nutrients circulating in healthy, safe metabolisms. The term itself is a play on the popular corporate phrase "cradle to grave", implying that the C2C model is sustainable and considerate of life and future generations—from the birth, or "cradle", of one generation to the next generation, versus from birth to death, or "grave", within the same generation.
