Based on the Reggio-Emilia Approach®, sustainability and design thinking philosophies, Emergent Design Studio provides real-world art and design curricula through small pod and online courses taught to students, grades K12.  Our emergent curriculum will include ongoing, iterative, creative learning experiments to engage students to design to make a lasting impact on our natural world. Students will gain the mindsets necessary to embrace ambiguity, and concepts designed will arise organically. In specific phases of the Emergent Design Studio process, students will work with visiting experts in the fields of design and sustainability, where they learn to become the expert working beside the expert. Students will attend small secure multi-aged e-studios through Zoom, unless meeting in a small pod.
